So I'm going to explain this as best I can. I had a computer specialist come over and install a DVD burner. It went smoothly, and I went to the store and bought 3 Fuji-Film DVD-R DL discs, 8.5 GB. So I proceed to burn one video of YouTube on it and it flat out does not play on my Philips DVD player. There can't be a reason why this DVD player would not play it. It is a DVD recorder, it records on DVD-R (so unless the fact that the discs are double-sided I don't see why it's an issue to play a burned disc from the computer)
Yes, it does play discs that it recorded itself, just not the computer burned ones. I have known that sometimes it's an issue when you buy a certain brand or type of blank DVD.
I've gone through over 5 free DVD burning programs, a lot just popped up with errors saying it didn't want to burn it. I'm basically all around having serious frustration with this and I want to know what exactly is the problem, is it the disc type, the DVD player or the DVD burning programs? If anyone can give me some advice or tell me what I should do, I'd appreciate it so much. I'm just so out of answers and need help
Thanks so much for everyone's time in reading this. I will be happy to answer any questions that might help you be able to help me.
