I was given a Dell Inspiron 1545 a few months ago and now it wont connect to the internet. I can connect to networks but I only get local or limited connectivity. How can I fix this?

Does this happen wherever you try to connect to the internet, or have you only tried it at one location (such as your own home, for example)?

Everywhere I try, and even if I try to connect directly instead of wireless.
