having issue need help

Im new here i been jumping forums cuz everyone is rude and mean so i hope u guys are different, here is my question, I bought all new computer parts of newegg.com and I got a MSI PM8M3-V motherboard, and i put all my ram and cpu and fan and installed it into my micro atx tower, i installed windows xp,(new disc no scratches nothing) The computer worked for alittle while and restarts itself randomly, i never had that issue with previous parts or motherboard, so if anyone can help cuz im ready to get a new motherboard cuz i think thats the issue.
 
lol. i dont know about them but i am nice :D... just kidding. we all are nice. unless you do something unbarably stupid. :P... also do you see when it reboots. or you just get back and it is restarted
 
nope i will be using it and it just blacks out and restarts liek normal
and that is after a fresh xp and fresh drivers and i use it it works fine then restarts when it wants/
 
it also could be a driver issue. but i would think there would be a bsod. also you may want to look in your sys logs. (although it may be hard to find it could help a lot) just go ,start, right click my comp, manage, event viewer. an it may be under windows logs. look for the time it shutdown last.
 
i cant tell on that computer cut it is in pieces and all over the place, not broken just used else where but im using my back up, a dell demension, running my 1gb (2X512) from that computer and has its own cpu P4 1.76
and its rpm is 2083, and this has a basic fan but my other one, had a back panel fan, a side fan, a see through and open sort of case, and has a pentium 4 775 3.2ghz in it, so it should be lower cuz it has better and more fans

So your sayin the computer is not together anymore, if not theres no way to tell whats wrong with it. No way to check, it could be anything from heat the P/S the drivers who knows?

Ok this computer I was explaining im on right now, its set up the way it was before, im running a back fan and a side fan, my speeds are

system: 31C
CPU: 54C
AUX: 48C
HDO: 37C
Temp1: 58C

is that good, what do i need to do i dont want things to mess up again ive had it on for 5 hours tho no restart.
 
54C is high for the CPU, It should be around 45C or lower. Did you put some good quality thermal paste between the CPU and fan?
 
yea before i put it together i put a smudge on and it should of smeared i will look again., also how can i hook up 2 harddrives, can i set up a harddrive off one of the connectors the cd/dvd rom is on, the harddrive on only has one place to connect.
