Hello, I have a bit of a problem with my video's. Whenever I play them on full screen it seems to become choppy, both the video and sound. It also becomes choppy on full screen stream video's also (i.e.youtube). If you can help me with this little problem it would be greatly appreciated.

p.s. I am currently using k lite codec and window media player classic.

Video drivers will usually have a lot to do with problems like that. Sound drivers can also cause problems at times with media players as well as when gaming. You may even have to reinstall the MPC if a glitch is being seen in that.

Video drivers, active x controls, and codecs will usually play a role for media players with sound problems being more directly related to that type of driver. When first putting the new build together here the version of the ATI Catalyst 7.9 and Creative's automatic download of Vista drivers onto XP saw all types of problems. With Vista alone that version of the catalyst was at fault.

Yes - Install the latest video card drivers, Directx and sound card drivers. This should sort the problem out and if it is still slow then maybe more ram.

As others said, try updating your video card drivers. And download a VLC and play a video on it. see if it works?
I dont know why, but I dont trust K lite codec and these stuff. Install VLC and delete all the codecs you have. VLC player doesn't need any codec. It plays almost anything.

Strange, it's weird but my video lan player works fine full screen, :( it's just adobe flash player, window media player and media player classic. Strange :(

p.s. it's only been a month or two since this problem occurred, had my computer a while but this didn't really start till a few months back.

It's often all too easy to see some needed driver knocked out or simply seeing a lack of a working codec for a particular player. With Vista's WMP you now have to buy a separate dvd player like PowerDVD or Roxio otherwise hear audion only in Home Premium despite the MS claim that you need that for the Home Basic edtion and see support in HP and Ultimate. oh really?!

For XP WMP 10 always seems to work the best over 9 and not to consider the 11 version for XP since many will to roll back to 9 or 10 later. But even with other players seeing the same problems you have to focus on a more Windows related problem like device drivers for video most often when seeing lagging choppy video playback.
