Ok. Well, I was having some trouble with my old computer locking up and not wanting to install an os. Wouldnt let me finish. So I got my back-up computer out, and thats when things really starting going wrong.

The current problem: nothing loads.

Things I have done and checked:

-Ram is installed in another computer, along with HD. Both working well.
-All fans come on when the power button is pushed. (including two non factory case fans)
-Monitor is hooked up to another computer, working well
-Keyboard, mouse (all peripherals) hooked up to another computer and working well.
-Tried both old cases, same problem.
-Tried different arrangements of RAM, nothing worked
-Tried a different processor, still nothing
-I hooked up just the RAM, processor, factory fans, power to motherboard, and the power switch. Still nothing.

(And by nothing, I mean that I cant even get into BIOS)

I am not sure what to do next. I am thinking my motherboards are bad, but its kind of weird that both motherboards died within minutes of each other. Not sure what else to try. Any help will be appreciated!

Almost forgot the specs:

The one motherboard is a FIC AM37 from a Compaq Presario.
The other motherboard is a AOpen MK77MII.
Both running AMD Athlon processors, with DDR memory.
Both are socket 462.

Cases:
The one is a Compaq Presario Model S4020WM
The other is an Antek. Not sure what model.

Hook up the motherboard outside of the cases as to make sure they aren't being shorted out on anything. You could have zapped them with static electricity if you weren't careful.

I tried that as well, just forgot about it. Still the same result. Pretty sure it wasnt static shock, but cant ever be certain. Im careful around electronics Im working on.
