Having some problems.

I took my friends computer and ran a clean install of XP SP2. Problem is, I'm now missing several drivers, most importantly the NIC. I can't connect to the internet because I do not have the Ethernet Controller installed. Any ideas? I've tried to install so many versions and none have worked.

The motherboard is a DFI Lanparty nf4 UT Ultra-D, I.D. - NF-CK804-6A61FD49C-00 (from Everest). The video card is an nvidia 7800 gtx, custom built computer. Any ideas?

How about actually going to DFI's site to download the drivers? You should never use a 3rd party driver site unless you're looking for something old, something from a non well known manufacturer, or a driver for an OS that isn't supported by the manufacturer.

Go here and enter in you motherboard's information:
http://www.dfi.com/portal/CM/cmdownload

You'll have to use a flash drive or something to get the drivers to the other computer.

I tried going to dfi site to find the motherboard and couldn't find the board. So I gave him the only link i could find.

Why did you update the bios? You only update the bios when you have an issue that the bios update fixes. The only thing you can do now is reset the cmos by either taking the battery out for a few minutes or using the jumper on the board if it has one, and that still might not work. Do you still have the motherboard manual? See if there is a way to recover the bios.

It was the only thing I hadn't updated. I updated the ethernet, the system drivers, everything, and nothing is working. Sigh..

Usually what you need is the chipset driver, audio driver, lan driver. After doing those find out what is left in device manager that needs a driver and post back.
