Having some problems

My computer just all of a sudden started having problems. I didn't have a virus software on at the time but I do now. I went to click on google chrome and the only way I can open that, and most other things is by right clicking and run as administrator. Anyone know if this is caused by a virus or what might have happened to my computer. I ran malwarebytes anti-malware and it took some stuff off, then I ran my norton antivirus (which is another thing that wouldn't work before I used the malware scan) and it only removed a tracking cookie. So, what it is isn't detectable by a virus software. Is there anything else I can do? Any place I can look for this virus?

Do you have some reason to believe that you downloaded a virus?I trust AVG with my scans.

Also someone may have just changed the privileges of your account, check to make sure that isn't the case.

Also, reboots are always a good idea.

My husband was using my computer because I have a trial version of microsoft office 2007 and he was trying to figure out some way to get another product key to extend the trial as it had expired. After he downloaded something or entered a different product key, whichever he did idk, it started acting up. How do I check my settings? I am running Vista. And, have rebooted many times since this happened doesn't help.
