The laptop is connected to the wireless connection as all the signal bars are lit up up.
I selected 'automatically detect settings' told it OK and it took me back to the previous box. This did not cure the problem. Went back to the Internet Properties box and tried the setup tab. This took me to the setup 'Wizard' selected 'choose from a list of ISPs'. (next box) selected get on line with 'MSN' followed instructions and it was supposed to connect me to the systems default connection, but a box appears saying that it was unable to contact MSN. ( not surprising as I am not on line at this point)
When cancelling this box another box appears and tells me that 'no one is set up to use MSN explorer on this computer and that I need to create a new user account. ( I am now completely baffled and haven't got any finger nails left to chew)
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks
