HD 4890 power consumption

I'm wondering how power on a Sapphire HD 4890 Vapor-X 2gb graphics card is distributed between the motherboard and the 6- and 8-pin PCIe power connectors: how much does the motherboard supply vs. how much do the PCIe connectors supply (roughly)?

As far as I know, the motherboard can give something like >300 watts out of the socket. I'm not 100% sure on this though.

i think the motherboard is 75W

the 6 pin delivers 75W, and the 8 pin was 150W

not to sure, can really remember. i remember i read about it somewhere, but i cant remember the exact values...

This is correct. (and why the 5970 is limited to 300w spec--75w+75w+150w)
