HD 7850 or gtx 560 ti?

Hey all which would be better for my system?

Im looking at the 1gb model for both

EDIT: Very newby thread :/ Should add more info.

Budget is around £120-£150.

Psu is in sig (i cant upgrade)

Will be used for gaming. With me hoping to get the best performance out of arma 3 possible when it comes out for my budget.

Sweet :D Should hopefully be ordering it next week :D Back to trusty old 8800 gts for a few days i guess :/ Once i get rid of my 6850 nyway :P
 
Found 2gb version of same card for 7 quid extra with sleeping dogs free :D So think im going with the 2gb hd 7850 :D

I hpoe all goes to play next week and i have enough money :P

Sounds like a good deal,I was going to recommend getting a 2gb version.

BF3 maxed out at 1920x1080 here uses around 1.2-1.4Gb of my VRam,and games are only getting more demanding so... ;)
 
How bad will my q6600 hold me back as it is only clocked to 3ghz?

Also i will be playing at 1366x768 until i get a better monitor if that makes any difference?
 
It will hold you back some, but not much. To put it in relation, your Q6600 @ 3GHz is about the same as a 2.5GHz SB processor. @ 720p you will still be getting a 100+ FPS, or at least I was with a 480.
 
Why not stick it on eBay?

How much was the offer for which he gave you?

I reckon you could list it as a Fixed Price Auction, list it for say £85, should get a quick sale, ad now that PayPal do instant UK Bank transfers to most good banks you may have them funds in your account tonight/tomorrow! ;)
 
that would be a good option. Its what I did with my 480, and it sold same day for $130 (bout $15 less than anyone else was selling for). Just notice that if you have not sold before then you will only get your money from ebay after it has been delivered.
 
eBay your 6850 mate. I recently sold a 5 year old camera on eBay worth no more than about £200 when it new, sold it for £113. People pay way too much. Start the card low, people will get into a bidding war, and the price will sykrocket. Happens to me everytime. Even when I sold my i5 760 + P7P55D-E + 8GB RAM, it sold for much more than it was worth.
 
Lol, its the whole shipping thing etc. If it ends up getting there and being borked ill be out of money big time :P

But i was selling my old one to the guy for £70
 
If I were in your shoes and go ahead and eBay it. if you pack it well it should be fine. Do you have the original box still?
