Yes,

One SATA < or IDE > cable - and one MOLEX power cable

Molex Power cable - black or white plug looks like this

Just a note... Most newer sata hard drives require a sata power connector not a molex connection.

You are right - The last drive I installed was an IDE HDD so my reference was skewed that way.

I just popped open the case to my newer PC w/ SATA drive - and noticed it's not powered by a Molex cable. But it's still got a separate power cable though.

If I connect via SATA on the MB should I still also connect to the PS?
