I built my new computer and before I transfered the Hd from old build, I tried formating it with the XP disk. It would not let me format. Transfered old Hd to new build and tried again. NO go. After changing some things in bio's on new build I was able to get XP up and running. But I still would like to format Hd so that it is a clean install on new build.
My old build was a Asus P5Q/E8400 Cpu/2gb DDR2 ram/Corsair 400 PSU/
750GB WD Black HD/Asus VH236 monitor/Logitech cordless trackball/Keyboard(generic)/Epson RX700 printer.
My new build is a Asus P8Z77-V-LX/Intel I5-3570K Cpu/4GB DDR3 Ram/
HD,PSU,Monitor,Printer are from old build.
New Logitech Wireless Keyboard K520 and corded mouse.(Can't get my wireless mouse to work if I use new board).
Can someone help me figure out why I can't format the HD and due a clean install of XP on it.
Thanks
