HD inconsistances

Hey guys.sorry about the spelling first off

I try and run Disk Defrag..and at 90% i get a error telling me run CHKDSK for inconcisitances and to fix the problem and then run Defrag again.

Ive ran CHKDSK a few times now..but its not working and i cannot seem to find a solution

Can anyone help?

That would be inconsistencies you are seeing. Sometimes a glitch in Windows will see this type of message come up. Or you may be a little low on drive space. If you have a Windows installation disk onhand put that in the cd or dvd drive you have installed and type "sfc /scannow" at the Run prompt off of the Start menu. This will repair or replace any system files found damaged or missing.

This type of problem can also be seen when the drive is starting to see clutter from a good number of now useless temp folder created by software installers. One freeware that can help cleanup garbage files and folders has the appropiate name of crap cleaner otherwise known as the CCleaner found at http://www.ccleaner.com/ Once you give this a good run try schedualing the check disk to run on the nect startup and then try to run defrag again.
