HD ouready out?

well im new to lap tops and back in feb my mom bought 2 HP Pavillion DV6000's she gave one to my sister and she kept one for us. well to make a long story short the charger broke on ours so we have to use my sisters so we dont get a full charge most of the time and we didnt know it was bad to let them run dead and done it about 15-20 times since feb and the HD went out on us! so the good thing is that its still under warranty and HP is replacing it free! were also getting another year of full coverage for $139.00

well, yes warranties are good. Who told you its not okay to use a laptop till it dies?

well they didnt specifically i cant but they said the HD went out from shutting it down incorrectly, we maybe shut it down 2 times incorrectly from page freezes ect...the rest has been from using the batt up and it shutting off on its own but someone on a different forum said something about the HD drive disk keeps spinning and gets stopped fast when you turn it off incorrectly or something like that is he wrong?
