HD Space

When I installed Vista it gave me two places to put it, a 32 GB partition or 600GB partition. I chose the 32 GB one and now the rest of the hard drive space doesn't show up as available. How can I get this space to show up and use it? Thanks for any help.

First off, why would you put it on the 32GB partition? That means if you want to install lots of programs, games, etc you will need to manually change the installation directory from the C: drive to the second partition, and if you want to store lots of media/files you will have to redirect your "Users" folder to the secondary hard drive.

Personally I would just combine both partitions by deleting both of them from the Vista installation (if there's nothing needed).

As for the reason why you don't see it, it's because it's just unallocated space. Go into the disk management utility (start > control panel > administrative tools > computer management > disk management). Then from there you should see the 600GB of unallocated space, simply right click on it and click "format".

Yes I know, it was a massive brain fart on my part. I really don't know what I was thinking. The second option sounds best to me since there is nothing installed that I need. How exactly do I delete both partitions. Sorry, I'm not the most technically savvy guy around.

What I would do is simply reformat your hard drive. Insert the Windows Vista DVD, then when you choose which drive/partition to install the OS on, click on "advance options" or something similar. It should allow you to delete both partitions, then create a single, larger one.
