HD video player

Hi!
I've been using Power DVD 7 for playing HD videos that I recorded with my Panasonic HD cam, but it lacks and makes it unwatchable. I converted the files so that I could play it in VLC - still in HD resolution. Does anyone know a program that runs smoother than Power DVD but without the need to convert the videos?

Quicktime is the king for crapware, poor bloated coding and proprietaryness (case in point: look at the filesize of quicktime files, often about 4x bigger than they need to be).


Media Player Classic is extremely lightweight (no install needed) and FAR more flexible than quicktime could ever be even if the apple devs had all their wet dreams come true.....
