HD3650 or HD4550 or integrated video?

Hi. I need a low cost basic card for my new build. I will be using an AM3 Phenom II X4. The computer will be used for uni work, such as CAD software.

The best cards in the £30 - £35 price range seem to be this Sapphire HD3650 or this Gigabyte HD4550.

The alternative is using onboard video from perhaps this mobo. Am I right in thinking even these cards will be better than the integrated VGA on the mobo? I won't be playing any games, so that doesn't need to be considered.

So, whats your verdict, or can you suggest a better, but similarly priced video card (UK).

Thanks, Doug :good:

anythings better than integrated. go for the 4550, the newer core and such will help with overall performance.

That Asus board looks great. It has an onboard ATI HD 4200 + 128 side port GDDR 3 @ 1333MHz . This should be ample if your not gaming. Try it out and if you feel it's not good enough then you can look at some cards. You can also hybrid cross fire any 43xx card with it.
