depends what u want you want to spend my dad has the 3850 an he can play stalker, C&C 3, an other top end games on highest settings at 1440x900 with no problems an crysis on med high at 1280x960 an all of these games run very smoth an the 3870 is about 25 - 30% better than the 3850 an the 3870 is only about 5% slower then the GT hear check this out

Go 8800GT, I made the same thread like a week ago but with a poll, I think, and got decesive results for the 8800GT

For the price right now, which is they're pretty equal, get the 8800GT.
