HD4850 or 5770 in small case

Hey

Sorry if something similar has already been answered its my first time on here.

Basically I have an old Compaq Presario SR1230uk case

Brand new hardware on the inside
problem was I ran out of money before full upgrading

My specs are

BenQ G2420HDBL monitor
M4A88TD-M EVO motherboard
Phenom X6 II thuban 1075T 3.0ghz cpu
2x 1gb corsair DDR3 1600mhz

Basically this case takes ATX psu's but only micro atx mobos
its really roomy, its not a slim case, one of them freakishly small ones
I want to know if it will fit in a sapphire 4850 or a XFX 5770

preferably the sapphire one as I can get it for £45
but I do remember hearing the xfx 5770 was a bit smaller

I know its easy to say, get a new case but I am on a very limited budget, limited in a way where I have only just enough for a PSU and card

I know I could get a 5670 as well without needed to upgrade the PSU but to be honest the last card I bought, a 7600gs was essentially outdated a week after I bought it and even though the 4850 is outdated it can play crysis on virtually max settings meaning it will do me fine for about 3 years
Also
I still have my old 300w psu, its about 4 years old, I am going to get a new 500w one in a month or two but was wandering if it would run either of these cards before then. If not I don't mind waiting with them in the box :D

Sorry about the long winded question as well
Thanks in advance for answering

So you're wondering if it'll fit or not?

Most video cards, under details, have the dimensions on them. So it's just a matter of measuring how much room you have inside your case for a GPU. (Utilizing all anti-static procedures, of course...) You could even build a paper model of your GPU for the dimensions and see how they fit.

Haha the paper model worked, thanks for the tip. Also would anyone know any great PSU's for about £25 to £35 and about 400W

I am having real trouble, Scan is not that good for them

typically you get what you pay for, likely you will be paying 40-50 bucks for a decent supply that wont blow up in your face
