HDD clicking and freezing

I have a relatively new build comprised of 2 Seagate Baracudda1 TBs striped in RAID, and 2 Seagate Baracudda 1.5 TBs mirrored in RAID, Asus P8P67, 8 Gigs of Corsair XMS3 1333 ram, i5 2500k, and an old-ish EVGA GTS-250.

The system runs really well 90% of the time, but the other 10% my hard drives are clicking uncontrollably (very annoying) and every now and then will just lock up (I'm assuming this is a hard drive issue). I then have to restart my computer via holding in my case's power button. Very irritating while working in Photoshop.

As I said I am assuming this is a hard drive related issue, but I suppose it could be something else. Everything is updated driver wise, so any clue on what's going on?

If any hard drive is clicking then you need to figure out which one it is and get it returned for a new one. If you are running raid 0, then you need to immediately back up your data on to a dvd or other hard drive before you replace the drive because once you remove the bad hdd, there is no way to recover data unless you put the bad one back in. If raid 1 then after putting in a new drive the array will be rebuilt.

Believe it or not it's all 4 of them that are clicking. When I turn my computer off all 4 drives click off in succession it sounds like. I posted on another forum and ran some tests recommended by them but everything said the drives were fine and could just be the fact that some Seagates are loud. I have all my data backed up on a USB drive all the time anyways so I'm good in that department. I've had the drives for over a year and a half though and used them on my old build with the same annoyances just not as frequently as now, so I think I may be in the market for new drives unfortunately.

The drives are clicking which in turn is making the computer freeze, replace the drives.

Sounds fair. Just wanted to confirm that it can't be any of my other hardware interfering causing the drives to click or my system to freeze before I go out and buy anything new
