HDD fans?? - Do or dont?

This type of thing? - Just a gimmic or are they really good?

This might be like asking how long a piece of string is i suppose.

I will soon be owning an Antec P180, which i hear is good for cooling, so maybe these HDD fans wont be needed?

Not that my HDD runs particularly hot, just that i wanted to reduce as much heat in the PC as pos.

if you have front panal fans positioned in front of the hdd you dont need them.

i have one, because i the hot weather my HDD got quite hot, they only cost like £5 so i got one, works a treat, i would recommend.

i have one of those, except its yellow. Works pretty well but my fans tend to heat up a bit for some reason...

perhaps yours is faulty, mine dont heat up, and mine is black BTW
