Hey computer forum, I just salvaged 2 hard drives from another computer and I need to know how to completely erase it and use it in my other computer, I dont want to install any Operating systems on it..I just want to use it with my other HDD so I can have more space. (I'm running very low)

just format it. if you have a opperating sys on a hd in the computer, just plug it in and start it up. for windows right click it and hit format.
 
But it already has an Operation system and other information on it. I want to erase it completely as if I just bought a blank one. so i can use it for more disk space
 
formating it will erase everything. you just have to tell the computer at startup to boot to your first hard drive. it should if it is master.
