HDD missing files

Okay, my HDD seems to be deleting files on its own.

I have no viruses that i am aware of and a scan of the HDD came back fine.

The files seem to be simply missing. The files have stopped deleting on its own as of now.

I know this is a very very broad and general description of my problem, but lets see where we can go from here.

Do you have more than one drive? Where are you loosing these files from, my documents, desktop or the C:\ destination?
