a while ago i had a 80hdd which had the OS on and a 160hdd in my case and i got mad temps as opposed to when i had one in? what could this have been? could it be the fact that 2 hdd's running so close together in a confined space?
so the other question i have is... if i was to buy a smaller drive say an 80 and put that in with the other 80 could that be better for the temps?
also at the moment i have 1 hdd in and which speedfan i get an average of about 30 degrees Celsius = 86 degrees Fahrenheit which is alright? is it? and when i had the 2 drives in i was clocking these temps? 50 degrees Celsius = 122 degrees Fahrenheit
are these temps ok? could they do any damage? this is my work computer and lose of data is not a good thing. also i am in the process of trying to run raid when i have the money to buy the drives.
sorry for how random the questions are but hope someone can help. thanks in advance.
its for my dell so if you need spec then its in my sig. thanks
