HDD Problem

I have two HDDs one Seagate and one Western Digital both 80GB and I want to put them both together to have a 160GB HDD is this possible?

when I run Windows XP my second HDD doesn't appear at 'My Computer' why? Do I have to format it? If so how?
 
go start, settings, control panels, adminstrative tools, computer managment and disk manager. If you see the other hd in there right click it and format and partition it. If it doesnt show up in there check the plugins and the jumper settings. (also enabled in bios)
 
Sorry but my OS isn't in English and I got lost on the way, is it right click 'My Computer' and 'Hardware' and 'Disk Managment?'
