HDD/RAM issues.

So I have this laptop now for quite a long time and I started noticing some really weird problems with it. The laptop has a 120GB HDD and 3 GB of RAM and is running Windows 7 with the latest updates. When I'm just browsing the web it usually takes 10-30 sec for the site to open sometimes even 1 minute when that happenes I try and open My Computer and nothing actually shows up like when you open an empty folder. The same thing goes with control panel or anything similar. But when I re-log everything is there and is working fine. Also another thing to note is that when I open different programs like Firefox or Microsoft Word it takes a really long time for them to open like 30-40 sec. The first thing that comes up in my mind is that the problems could be caused by faulty HDD or RAM. What do you guys think ? I would really appreciate the help.

Could be a number of issues. Malware is one thing. If you want to test the HDD use HDtune. That's just a simple basic program to test the drive and read the SMART data. To test your RAM use Memtest 86+. You burn it to CD or USB stick and boot the disk or USB stick.

For the hell of it, read the event viewer. It's in the control panel under Admin Tools.

I'm curious to know what you all have starting up on system boot. Run Autoruns and upload the arn file here.
