HDD stops or what?

I recently installed my new HDD (see my specs) and there's something wrong with my computer now. I will describe it as best as I can.

After long sessions (6+ hours) my computer will not react to anything. After and during I play a game for many hours or leave my computer idle, it will not start any other application, or open the start menu or task manager. It will stop dead in its tracks. The only solution is a reboot.

I checked the cables twice, it boots up fine ( I get no errors, already scanned for malware), it doesn't overheat... I'm stumped.

Yes, I've already set the power settings so my HDD never shuts off. Didn't work.

Next time it happens, check task manager to see if anything is using up 100 percent of the cpu. The system will basically freeze at that point.
