I'm wanting an nice simple way to switch from my work laptop to my gaming rig without constantly murdering the HDMI ports and connectors by changing them every day. Is this Splitter a good fit for this ultrawide monitor? As in no loss of visual quality? Work laptop isn't even an issue since it's a craptop and uses integrated graphics.

No, that is simply a parallel device for switching monitors, I think you may need a kvm switch that allows you to control 2 computer with only one set of controls (Monitor,Mouse,Keyboard and Printer)

Ie hook everything up, working on laptop in one position, switch to personal computer in teh other position. All monitors and devices available at all times.

If you're moving between control schemes then the splitter/switch you mentioned would do, but a KVM might be ideal as Okey said.
