HDMI to DVI cable

Does anyone recommend this to me? Is it as good as a normal HDMI cable? Does it have a good response time?
 
Another question: whats the difference between a v1.3 HDMI cable and a normal HDMI cable?

There are 4 versions out now afaik, and each one has different add-ons. Like 1.3 has more options than
1.2, 1.1, and 1.0. And 1.4 is the newest. But I really don't think it matters when it comes to computers.
I don't even know what version mine is...
