HDrive Question

Might sound stupid, but im building a computer and I really don't want to use my money on a new HD so I'm planning on taking the 80gb HD from my Dell 3000. I was wondering if I would still need an OS or would the OS remain on the HD and operate correctly with my new computer.

It is quite possible that the HDD will work in youe new pc but you might run into problems, bugs, etc..

your better off formating it and starting fresh !

umm...don't count on it, backup data first, then try. SO if it fails you have all the data and then you can make a clean install.
