The thing i like about that tv is i can use it on my pc, a 42 inch plasma monitor with a contrast ratio of 1000:1 :D :D :D
I also found a good surround system (5.1) and it looks like it plays movies too, please tell me if im wrong.

What do u guys think? Good deal? Know of any better products for the same price?

Hmmm, personally I would stay clear of Magnavox....even though it is made by Phillips I dont trust its quality. I hope that contrast ratio is wrong because 1000:1 is a HORRIBLE contrast ratio for any lcd or plasma tv. An LCD tv tends to be 3000:1 (a good one) and a PLASMA tends to be 5000:1 or 10000:1. Aside from that the sound system is very nice and all i always trust sony..maybe not their customer support but their products are reliable and good quality.

If you have the mony i would go for a 7.2 surround sound ;) and I have noo knowlegde eally of HD TV's besides the higher res.

yea, that sound system is pretty base line. If you are spending $2G on a tv, put at least $500 into a sound system. Also FYI: best buy is not usually the cheapest place to get that sort of stuff.

Build your own LCD projector capable of HDTV quality and a 24 channel sound system. Both of those are possible to do at home. But the 24 channel sound system is useless to have.

HOLY ****!!! AMAZING
I would love to get that but my mom doesnt like buying online, and she would probably want to see it first.
As for the sound system. I think 800 watts is enough, and i think it is a good price, i know best buy doesnt always have good deals, but every once in a while you get a bargain.

EDIT: Im guessing DLP is new, my friend was telling me about something comming out that was better than plasma and lcd, cheaper to make, and already almost perfected, do u think he was talking about this?
