HDTV to PC to 17" moniter

right i have a toshiba 37" tv and a 17" moniter and want to connect them both to my pc, which i have done!
but im not sure if my hdtv will be in high definition
i have a 8600 gts dual dvi out, with two vga converters as both my pc moniter and my HDTV have a vga slot on them, so i have two vga cables from my graphics card to my tv and moniter which works fine!
but am just wondering if the vga cables support high def!

you would need an HDMI cable to carry a HD signal, you might want to check your spelling of monitor
