heating problem?

i have the Rosewill RW9600-256D Radeon 9600 256MB DDR AGP 4X/8X Video Card - Retail got it for 90.00US about a year or so ago, lately while playing WC3 online when i host i get lag when my room gets hot. but if i open the window it wont lag anymore, im pretty sure its not my cpu because i only have a P4 2.4C 5 fans, 1.5 g ram, so is it a possibility that my cheaper video card is working too hard and causing the lag?? should i upgrade to a nicer card, whats one of the better cards out these days?

Have Have something like rivatune or speedfan monitor the temps (cant remember if R9600Pro has temp sensor)

You can always upgrade but AGP selection is gonna be scarce

i couldnt find rivatune?? i got speed fan but im not sure what each of the temps are corresponding to. theres a bunch of temps but im not sure what one may be for the video card. could a crappy overheated video card cause lag when hosting my online games?
