Heatsink for AMD Phenom 9600 match???

Hey everyone,

I'm new to the forum and am thinking about building a new computer for the first time ever. I don't do any high performance gaming like WoW or CS just a rather simple 2d graphics based game called "Tibia". Aside from that I use it for pretty much normal everyday word processing and internet use.

I want to go with one of the new AMD Phenom Quad Core processors. I'm looking at the black edition 9600 Phenom. I have heard that the heat sink that comes with this processor isn't very good though and is worth replacing.

I have heard good things about Zalman fans and hetsinks, anyone knwo a good match for the processor i'm looking at?

but honestly i'm not even sure if this will even work, if it is too much, not enough? Any help would be great.

I dont think you should get AMD quad, the intel quad's are better, i dont even think youd need a quad

I agree. Oh, and that ZeroTherm Heatsink is very good. I'll be picking on up for my Q9450 soon.
