Hello New guy here.. got a question about upgrading the memory on my compaq desktop.. it has 3 sticks of memory, 2 64mb and 1 128mb.. i found on newegg that they sell a single 512mb memory stick.. would it be possible to swap out the other 3 for 3 new 512mb memory sticks???
We need to know lots more about your computer... Computer brand/model, motherboard model, RAM type/speed, etc etc... CPUz would tell you most of this information.
Just a guess, though, I'd say you probably couldn't put such large RAM in it...
well last time i accessed the bios menu i believe it said the most it could hold was 768, thats 3 256mb sticks
its a compaq 5006H, it has a 40gb hard drive, right now it has 2 64 mb and 1 128mb of memory.. wether or not it came with it , it does have windows xp offfice on it..how can u tell what mother board it has??
