Hello Everyone :)

I thank you so much for creating such a wonderful Website.

I have Windows XP Professional. On my desktop, when I drag while pressing the left mouse button, a dotted lines appear. Similarly, blue shades gets created when I do this on a control panel dialog box. What can I do to make the dotted lines "not appear" when I drag on my desktop? Please let me know. Thank you so much.

Sincerely,

Indo Rock

That's just default how windows works. That dotted line has been there since...well, the first windows versions :P I'm not sure why you'd want to remove this option because it kinda helps you select stuff when you drag.

There's no simple way to change this, that I know of. There might be some software out there(something like tweakui, but I"m qutie sure this doesn't have that option) but no options under normal windows options.

As far as I know, its just a windows feature and there is nothing you can change about it. I just realized it does that blue shade thing in the control panels, but like I said, I dont think that can be changed. You might be able to affect the color of the shading by changing themes, but thats about it.

The dotted line are created so that you select multiple itmes, anything with in your dotted line box will be selected.
