Okay So I am looking to get a new computer and use it for gaming. People have been telling me to go with AMD, but I also hear that so programs don't work with AMD is that true? And is AMD aslo the better to go with gaming? and last question with AMD do other programs still work well?

Ive ran AMD rigs for years now and have never ran into issues with AMD not being able too run programs.

Also the FX series rules for gaming :D

Well if you use other applications and go on the internet a loot you should probably get an intel. I got a Pentium 4 2.8 GHZ in my system 3 years that also had a geforce 5200 and it still plays high quality games perfectly.

I've heard some stuff about hardware level programming, and how things are usally first made for intel based machines. However, most of your main stream stuff should be just fine, AMD or intel...

if you're going to be a hardcore gamer go with amd, but if you are still woried with applications and programs not running go with a p4 duo, it should still be able to play your games fine.
