Hello i have my brothers computer , and when i boot it up makes a beeping nose . and between the beeping nose there is atlest 2-7 secs of no beeping then goes back to beeping then repeat. I have Ram in it that works in others computers. i dont know what is going on with it .

If you are seeing a hardware problem take notes on the beeps themselves like one long and two short can point at a video card as well as memory. The make and model board will also show who makes the bios Phoenix-Award, AMI, or some other. For a specific pattern there are code lists that show which hardwares the beep code is indicating.

?

i had problems with this before and cant remember i did lol . i dont know what it is . Proccessor is good and ram is . It sounds like there is no ram in mb but theres ram in (mb) motherboard. ill have to take it out tonight and hook it up to my testing center in my store i guess. i never had this problem so ill have to see.

I had a beeping noise, but it was from my case fans. When the RPM's would start running really slow it would beep. I got so annoyed of it that I completly disconnect it! Of course this probably isnt your issue, but if you happen to of checked everything else, check out the case fan

hey ccps check the ram and ensure its seated correctly.. What mobo is it? What are the beeps like short long and what order this will help to diagnose it...

beeps are like 2-3 secs and goes off and between that its 3-7 secs with out it and dose it again and more and more TIMEs. i think its a shock 754 im not 100 % right . but the MB has about 3 slots but the 1 slot on the left is about 1-2 inch away from the frist 2 on the right. i switched Powersupplys last night and work about 3-4 mins and did it again. i dont know

One thing to look over is the cpu fan as well as the others. On many board fan or temp alarms will sound when the cpu fan's rpm is too low or aome temp climbs above a certain point without shutting down. Check the hardware monitor if available in the bois as well as the fan speed and temp alert settings there. Make you are not seeing fans clogged up with dust too.

For video cards as well as memory on most systems that would be one long followed by two short beeps. Besides the beep code heard you have to know who made the bios itself to refer to their error code chart.

ill look at it . i didnt last night i fell asleep at 4:00pm last night so yea i had no sleep . Keep the post coming and thanks for helping :)
