Looking to build a computer so I would need everything except an OS as I have an oem XP I can use. I heard the core 2 duos are dropping in price after sunday as well. But was curious if someone out there since I am not a guru at this could just tell me all the items I would need? I dont game, BUT would like to start. I would need everything as stated above even mouse/keyboard. I dont know which site is better newegg or zip zoom fly? SO any suggestions out there for me?

others with more build experience may have a better suggestion...
(first time in making a build suggestion... :D)

well, first off you probably don't need to spend over 100 dollars on a power supply, although you want to make sure you get a good one that won't go bad on you, in addition processors do come with heatsinks so you don't really have to buy an aftermarket one unless you want to overclock. So you could probably drop about 100 bucks by going with a different power supply and no aftermarket heatsink on that build. In addition if he wants to start gaming i doubt he wants to spend tons of money on a machine specifically designed for gaming (what if he doesn't like it for some reason). I'd probably go with a lower end 7900 card to save some money and still be able to play well. Little things like that can help bring the cost down.
