Help buying a new computer

Hello, I´m new in this forum. I created an account because I need some help, thank you.

I need a new computer, not for gaming but for work. I usually use maya, photoshop and corel painter, often others like after effects, and in the future may use unity and nuke. As you see, there is a variety. After Christmas, I think I´ll have like 800€ (near 1100$), so, my first question is:

Should I buy something at the time or wait until, maybe, 1000€? ( 1,367.30$).

And the second question:

Should I try buying the parts by Internet or there is a good one for me with that price?

I appreciate any help.

probably 1000 for everything i'm looking strictly on newegg and for 16 gb ram decent amd processor gtx 660 630 watt rosewill psu h100i asus mobo 500 gb hdd and case

I'm not sure I'd like this system. Good CPU, unknown motherboard and PSU and old video card. Not for this price.

Can you build a system or know someone who can? We can give you a list that caters to your work and save money or for the money the best parts possible.

Thanks, Twiki. I see there is not enought informartion and I didn´t notice the old card.
I was thinking about buying the parts online, in some websides you can actually hace the pc built with the parts you want. But I´m a bit lost when it comes to this -I know how to use a computer, not how to build one- so I will like any advice with good part. Thank you.

As you can see in my sig I have a business grade motherboard and an enterprise hard drive. I bought them for durability so they're well suited for work, on all day and off at night. You can start there as I did a lot of research and reviews in picking my parts. I did it for between $500-$600 but that was before the memory price hike so that's gonna hurt.

Hi, Twiki. Yeah, I will not be that lucky. By the way, I´ve been advised about buying an i7 like this: Intel Core i7-4820K 3.7Ghz Box. But I have to be careful not to go too much over 1000, for example nvidia Quadro is not posible (maybe Gigabyte GeForce GTX 760).
Thanks from a newie.

You're looking at stuff that gamers and OCers like. The CPU with a K at the end is unlocked and can be overclocked but you'll need a Z87 motherboard to do it. If you're not interested in overclocking then a cheaper CPU like an i5 and motherboard will suits you fine.
