HELP!!! cant go to yahoo.

:confused: :confused: :confused: Hi,
i have a weird problem with the internet. It seems that i can go to any websites except for www.yahoo.com. Im using Norton Internet security 2005, in there it doesnt says that yahoo.com is blocked or anything. I dont know what happens. I turned off the firewall too, but still cant load that page. please help.

+im using internet explorer ver. 6.0...........

ok go start, run and type cmd...
In the (fake) DOS window type tracert yahoo.com
then type in the the last 2 lines, the one that shows the reply, and the one that shows destination host unreachable. thats your block.. Let us know
 
Ok i went run> cmd.. i try tracert yahoo.com.. it shows me
Tracing route to yahoo.com (213.219.251.79)
over a maximum of 30 hops:
1 * * * Request timed out.
2 * * * Request timed out.
3 * * * Request timed out.
4 * * * Request timed out.
5 * * * Request timed out.
all same and stop at 30.. then it says trace complete...

then i try to go to yahoo.com ... that page still wont load.

Also i try ping yahoo.com
it shows me request timed out.

then Ping statistics for (my ip address)
packets:sent=4 received=0 lost 4 (100% loss)

after i try all these .. still cant load that yahoo page... any suggestions?
 
Your local firewall is blocking it, or your router.. check your router settings to see if there are any restricted wensites or words... Also turn off your winxp firewall if it is on.. There is one located in the router...
 
you can try another browser if u have one. ie have security flaws depending on how u use it.. firefox or opera..

if not, u can try resetting ie's settings to default and clearing all cookies, history, and temp files and try again.
 
well... i used firefox to access to www.yahoo.com.. still not working.. in IE i cleared all cookies, history, and temp files.
GOD DAMMIT..dont know why still cant load that page..
 
dont know if this will help solve the problem...
when i tried to go to yahoo.com. at bottom the status bar it says this
"opening page res://C:windows\systems32\shdoclc.dll/dnserror.htm..."
at the page... it said that pag cannot be displayed
