Help: CD-ROM

Hi, my CD-ROM drive isn't working for some reason. There's still power but whenever a put a CD in, nothing happens. It says the drive is empty even though I have a CD in it..It was working fine until my game froze and it seemed like my CD-ROM drive just stopped. Now it's not working at all, any ideas? Thanks.

I already have one, but NOTHING boots from this CD-Drive. There's nothing going on when I insert the cd. I still have power to it, like I can put cds in and take them out, but it doesn't start, the CD is just sitting in there.

well last thing left.... buy a new one .I had same problems , tried everything,but no luck.

How can a game freezing mess up my cd drive..well I guess I gotta buy a new one...
