help choosing between 7800GTX or X1800XL

im sure most of the answers will be pulling for the GTX but i want to make sure before i go spending 400$, thanks

if there isnt a massive difference between the two, id much rather save the $50.00 and go with the company i prefer, but if the difference is large, ill have to go with nvidia

get the 7800gtx its a better card becuase usually the x1800XL is compared to the 7800GT and both are basically equal and the 7800gtx is better than a 7800gt
