(- I am wondering which one is the better one to go with. I am getting this pc through monarchcomputer.com and those are the prices. The MSI is the cheapest but is it as good as the others... which would you recommend?

probably the asus, because i like that brand. but they all seem to share the same features, so the decision doesn't seem to be one you will regret either way.

Which ASUS, Deluxe or Premium? There both great for the money... everyone teams ASUS with the eVGA 7800GTXs so it must be good.

I currently have an ATI, and it works great for me, although its not an SLI motherboard, i havent heard many complaints about it. And my friend has a Gigabyte SLI motherboard (LGA775) and a few things started to go wrong and he had to return it, so i would go with either the ASUS or MSI.

Question: do you really want/need SLI? I mean if you're gonna buy two uberend videocards anyways why not spend a few bucks and get something solid like the DFI Lanparty UT NF4SLI-DR or the MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum/SLI :)

Or if you're comfortable with this, get the DFI Lanparty nF4 Ultra-D, and do the common hack of making it the SLI-D. Saves you about $40-50, and all you need to do is get a SLI bridge from eBay, and do a simple mod on the northbridge. If you are new to these things, I don't suggest it, but it saves a bit of cash.

Look here for the exact mod:

Actually you no longer need the SLI bridge for SLI to work (granted you take a 5% performance penalty but whoppe) ... of course if you're shelling out for two relatviely high end cards anwyays ... whats 40-50 bucks? :)
