Hello folks.I have a problem with. Workstation logging off non admin users during logon process.this happens only on that particular workstation.there was power outage before this problem started.I even tried system restore to n earlier date which was succesfful, looked at the event log but didn't see any issue related to netlog on nor did the restore, solve the problem.the workstation is running windows 7 pro and we are running windows server 2008r2 domain.any reply with corrective step to solve the problem is really appreciated.

Just for clarification, you're saying that only non-admin users are getting logged off when they try to login? Does it log them off part way through the logon process, or can they use their workstation for X amount of time before logging off? You tried this with a domain admin as well and it doesn't have the issue? What about local accounts?

Thank you WRXguy1.the non admin users are logged off during log-on process after the"preparing your desktop"message on the screen.

If this only happens on non-admin accounts, I'd first check and be sure nothing with group policy or AD was changed, such as user login restrictions, logout schedules, etc. It partially sounds like it starts to login, then when it applies group policies for that user it forces a log off.

Can you remove a non-admin user from one workstation so there is no existing account for them on that machine, then try to log them in again?

Thnks nothing was changed on the group policy.this issue is limited to the particular workstation.other non-admin users can log on to other machines succefully.I also checked for restricted group object, but wasn't enabled.so any more ideas on what d cause n possible solution.
