Help! Computer wont turn off!

Yesterday my computer was fine, working nicely and turning on and off as it should. Today I tried to turn my computer off, but it doesnt turn off completely. The monitor goes black and the cpu fan, psu fan, and other fans are running:confused: When I hold the power switch for 5sec nothing happens. I cant even on the pc by pressing the power switch. To turn the pc off or on, I have to unplug the wire or switch the psu switch from behind off. Back of my psu their is a switch to turn the power on or off and their is a small led light. If the power is on its green if its off its (standby, thats what the sticker says on back) orange. when I shut my pc down from windows the fans ect is on and the monitor goes turns off, I looked behind the psu and the light is on orange (off/stand by). I tried everything from taking all the parts from mobo and putting it back together and installing a fresh os ect ect but nothing works:( any help?
 
When i turn my computer off the fan is the psu keeps going for another 5 mins to expell hot air and the siwtch is still lighted orange too
 
hmm maybe an integrated software issue? (i think thats what its called) like what software tells your computer to shut off when you press the power button, could that be corrupted? now it thinks that standby is off?

sorry for my noobiness, i always was more physically inclined, software crap makes my head hurt :rolleyes:
 
there is nothing wrong with the wires or softwares (new os - no apps). I been using this pc for the last 6months and nothing happend until yesterday:(
