help controller battlefield 2

ok i programed some of my controls for my controller on battlefield 2 i have me a logitech game pad that looks like a ps2 controller its identical umm i was wondering how do you program the camera and how do you program your movement to be free roaming like i can side step move back and foward but i cant move the camera i can move it with the mouse i can rotate camera. but then when i try to move the camera i have to use the mouse is there a way to program it so i can move the camera when i move or have the camera move with me as i move around? and is there a way to change camera view so i dont get a first person view is there a way to aim and lock on maybe i should have read the book lol but heck im confused just somebody plz help me it be much appreciated
 
what im wondering is how come the mouse controls the camera i want my controller to control the camera is what im really trying to say so i can maneuver it just right so i can kill folks and stuff and is there a way to aim at things like tanks auto aim without having to do it yourself? im so new to this game
 
Nope, BF2 doesn't have any auto aim stuff, it'd be pretty cheap. And IMHO, it's REALLY not a good idea to try and use a controller on the game, you'll miss out on so much stuff that only a mouse and keyboard can do, like picking squads, the Q/T button commands, and heck, you won't be able to play commander at all.

well how do i get used to running around with weapon on a mouse and keyboard i mean lol its rough for me right now being new and

i dont see anything about chat is there a way i can chat to players or do i need a mic to do that

and is this game online game or can you play it offline cuz i noticed when i bootup it talks about connecting to server or something
 
I got a Logitech Extreme 3D PRO Joystick for aircraft, but I prefer using WASD and the mouse while on the ground. I'd recommend the stick.
 
so is this good

using the mouse to target im not really used to it but i kinda suck at it cuz my hand tends to shake a bit so i miss who im shooting at or i miss cuz i am so far away
 
well

im talking about like shooting guys sometime with guns missile i can use alright those ground missles that you stand behind and you can shoot things with or is that tv missile?
