Like title says, it'll boot up fine on auto voltage on ddr2 800. When i change it manually to ddr2 1066 and voltage up to 2.1 as required, it doesn't post/boot. Running crucial ballistix ddr2 1066 2x1 gb. My other 2 rams are transcend 2x1 gb 1066. thanks

Did you try higher voltages? 2.1v seems a bit low, you may try 2.2v. Also keep in mind that sometimes the actual voltage is a few steps below what you set it to in the BIOS. If you have a hardware monitor in the BIOS, check it and see what the DRAM voltage is actually at.

What are the specifications of your memory? It is possible the RAM you are using has different voltage settings since you mixed up different brands of memory.

I would try removing one brand of RAM and attempt to set the remaining memory at PC2 8500 settings.

DDR2 1066 is not one of the JEDEC standards. you need to configure it manually. you have tried, so i'm guessing that one brand of your memory has lower/higher latencies that the other. It should say on the sticks themselves what the latencies are, for example the latencies on my corsair sticks are 5-5-5-18-22.

Did you check the timing?

DDR2 1066 is not one of the JEDEC standards.

There is a JEDEC for DDR2 1066. What happens is, to be under the standard it has to run at 1.8V. Most DDR2 1066 wont run at 1.8V. So the bios by default will kick it back to DDR2 800 at 1.8V. And like you said you have to go in a manually set the speed/timing and voltage.

with my oc'd settings, im running like 4.1ghz now. it reads

1st timing 5-5-5-18-3-52
2nd 8-3-5-4-6-4-6
3rd 14-5-1-6-6

Don't know if you guys need to know the 2nd and 3rd timings.

As you can see here they run on diferent volts when in 1066Mhz also as far i could see the the transcend are actualy 800Mhz but they can be pushed to 1066 with OC on them manually in the BIOS.
In my opinion its allways an bad idea to mix RAMs, the best thing that i would do (if it was me) sell the transcends and get ballistix or sell all of them and get anyother brand as long they are all the same make and Model...

Transcend and check on first page of the PDF the voltage:

http://www.transcendusa.com/Support/DLCenter/Datasheet/TX1066QLJ-2GK_2345.pdf

and Ballistix almost in the end of the page under Especification:

As long as i can see you OC your CPU?
Because looks like the timmings are still at 800Mhz of your RAM.
have you tried CPU-Z to help you with the readings?
Download here for X64 Versions:
http://www.cpuid.com/download/cpuz/cpuz64_153.zip
and click on the tab that says SPD.

i'm running pc wizard 2010. my fsb frequency is set at 440, DRam freqency is at ddr2 1057(oc'd default from ddr2 800)

So, did you manage to put them working all together?
Is it stable (no BSODs)? because you got some RAM with OC and other RAM with UC
and for the timmings that you posted all of them have to be strugling to keep up with those timmings.

it ran fine with prime95 overnight. i thought it was stable. i could be wrong.

At 1066

The Transcend is 5-5-5-15 at 2.0V
The Crucial is 5-5-5-15 at 2.1V

In the bios make sure to set your Timing to 5-5-5-15 and set the Voltage to 2.1

just tried changing it to 5-5-5-15 timing and 2.1v at stock cpu clock. no post when windows bar should be. im clueless now
