Help deciding on a tablet

hi all, I'm new to the whole tablet thing and was looking for help deciding which one to buy. I'm looking for something i can play music on, movies, read PDF files or Ebooks, run games and can connect to t.v.s so I can play movies on the tablet on the t.v. and be able to transfer files from my desk top to the tablet. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
 
As far as I know, just about any tablet on the market can be used to do the things you wish to do.

I personally owned several Android based tablets and was happy with them until I got a Windows based tablet. Once I got my first Windows tablet, I no longer had an interest in tablets running other OSes.

With a Windows tablet, I can run the same software on it that I run on my desktop or laptop. I can run the exact same browser, word processor, spreadsheet, etc... I can easily move files back and forth between my other computers and my tablet without the need to worry whether the files are compatible or not. About the only software I can't use on my Windows tablet are high-end games.

I personally have a Microsoft Surface Pro 3 which is an awsome tablet (it's actually an Ultrabook that doubles as a tablet) but you don't need to get one as expensive as that. What is your budget?
 
honestly I'd like to keep it at around $200. the things that I'm most concerned with are the internal storage and ram. i really don't want to buy a tablet with so little ram that when i try watching movies or playing games or just plain use it that it just goes at a snails pace. If there are any windows tablets that are out there that are a little older but can do all that and still play some games too that would be awesome. Or if there are some converter programs that i can use to format something to work on a non windows tablet that would be cool too. I guess what I'm getting at is i don't want to pay the price of a video game console when I don't need it or plan to use it for than reading, music, and movies, and play store games.
