Hi i have a big problem and so ill explain..

I have installed java but it didnt work at all. so i instead of uninstalling it i deleted the files it uses. Now when i try to re-install it it says it is already installed, so i go to control panel to try uninstall it doesnt work, so now i have gone through my registry and deleted almost everything to do with java. There are still some files that it won't let me delete. :(

So now i am stuck with a question..what do i do? i can't install java, i can't delete java and i can't use java...please help!

Thank you.

Install ccleaner and clean out all the missing registry entries. Then try reinstalling it. If it still report java as installed, goto, tools->uninstall in ccleaner and find the entry for java in the installed programs list, and select delete entry.

I think this should work.

Thanks for the help, but it didn't work. :( there are still these 2 folders in the registry that are named: LEGACY_JAVAQUICKSTARTERSERVICE that can not be deleted.

Does anyone have any idea of what i can do, other than re-install windows?

Thank you.
